So I went to Graduate Fashion Week today and just wanted to share with you some of the pictures I took at Nottingham Trent's catwalk show.

I loved the in-your-face print that Daniell used and the broad shoulder pads.

The menswear collections were really intriguing. Designers seem to be getting a lot more confident when designing menswear, which I find SO interesting. I am fascinated by menswear, because I feel as though they should be able to express their personalities through clothes the way women can, while still looking masculine. The bright yellow scarf really draws attention to the model and gives character to the outfit. Also, I really like the woolen jumper with the criss-cross pattern revealing the top of the models torso.
Just love the print for this outfit, such a simple shaped outfit but the print brings so much energy.

Every outfit looks coordinated and fit well as a collection. The collection revolves around stripes and the colours are carefully selected to create interesting designs.

This collection was very inspiring because of it's originality. The blocks you see on the torso's of the models, can actually be folded up and zipped to give a block of colour. This photo is the result of them unopened.
The collection of Chak Yan Kwan allowed me to see how a mixture of prints can work in a menswear collection. Simple outfits, but again with print the outfits come alive and express personality.
This was a duffel coat with a printed lining. I love duffel coats, so being able to make one would make me a very proud designer. It just represents that anything is possible! Instead of the lining being a plain colour, the design makes it unique from other duffel coats. The lining also matches up to the colour of the toggles. The designer gave it an added twist by making a dropped hemline.
